Lead Bank of Samastipur district, Union Bank of India organized a mega loan distribution camp on Thursday. The event was jointly inaugurated by District Magistrate Roshan Kushwaha and Union Bank Deputy Area Chief Subodh Kumar Mishra. On this occasion, 90 self -help groups and many businessmen of the district were given a total of Rs 55 crore.

A total loan of Rs 5.52 crore was given to 90 self -help groups in the camp. Apart from this, Pankaj Kumar was given a loan of Rs 1 crore for Nal-Jal scheme, Rs 1 crore to Hariom Traders Samastipur, Rs 1.20 crore to Suhi Traders Rosda, Rs 6.80 crore to Namaste Mithila Food Private Limited and Rs 2 crore to CHC Patori.

On this occasion, District Magistrate Roshan Kushwaha said that banks have a big role to create self -sufficient India and developed Bihar. Through banks, youth and businessmen are being given employment opportunities by giving them financial assistance. Union Bank has distributed loans of more than Rs 55 crore under this mega loan camp, which will lead to economic development of the district. He appealed to those taking loans to repay the loan on time so that the needy others can also get the benefit.

Union Bank sub-area chief Subodh Kumar Mishra said that this month the bank has organized loan distribution camps at three different places, in which loans worth more than Rs 150 crore have been distributed so far. He said that the bank is always ready to help the businessmen and the needy and the process of giving loans for employment will continue.

In this camp, women of self -help groups were also given loans, making them self -sufficient. The self -help group of Neetu Kumari, associated with Patori’s livelihood, has received a loan of Rs 10 lakh. He said that there are 12 women in his group, who did not get out of the house earlier, but now they are getting self-sufficient through small businesses and are improving their family’s financial condition.

Sunita Devi of Hasanpur Surat, who runs the CSP (Customer Service Center) of Union Bank, said that she continued to get small loans first, which put her business forward. This time they have received a loan of Rs 10 lakh, so that they will help in empowering other women of their help group as well.

Many businessmen and self -help groups of the district have gained economic strength from this mega loan distribution camp. This will promote self -employment in the district and will give impetus to economic development.
